Prior to the assessment.
In order to receive the exam forms in time, contact the Area Manager giving at least 14 days notice, with details of:-

• Name of Club/School/Centre requesting the assessment

• The proposed date & time

• The venue

• The award to be assessed

• The number of candidates

• Proposed Assessor

List of approved Assessors is available from the Branch Lifesaving Co-ordinator on request.
Information within that list is subject to the conditions of the Data Protection Act.

Assessors may only carry out 3 consecutive assessments for the same teacher.

Complete the assessment reports with as much detail as possible, including candidate names, addresses, Society number if appropriate, and date of birth.  If there are more candidates being assessed than space allows on one form, try and enter those that are taking the exam together on the same form.
Ensure evidence of any pre-requisites will be available to show the Assessor.

The assessment.
Ensure safety cover is present.
Ensure the Assessor is met, and not left to wander round looking for the class.
Assessors are all volunteers and often travel long distances.  Perhaps offering a cup of tea or coffee would not go amiss.

 Afterwards.
Forward 2 copies of each exam form, (one plus a photocopy is acceptable) and the fees (including any for the attendance of Assessors) to the Branch Awards Officer within 14days.  For Bronze Medallion, the "lilac" coloured copy of the exam forms, and in the case of NRASTC, the pink and blue copies  should be sent to River House.  These may not be photocopies.
