Reminders
When
it is for real.

We often talk about beach safety, the different flags, and what they mean.
These photographs were taken when Geoff and Jean were on holiday in Devon at the
beginning of September 2004. There was a strong onshore wind and the red flags
were flying on the beach.
This yacht was moored about 100 yards offshore, but only took about 15 minutes
to end up on the rocks.
The next day, it was firewood.
If the wind and tide can do this to a yacht, think what it can do to a swimmer!
